ChromeOS Updating Instructions

1. Login and connect to Wi-Fi. (Either a personal account or the school default account.)
2. Click on the time and battery area of the bottom taskbar of your screen to expand the menu.

3. Click on the gear icon to open up Settings.

4. Click on "About ChromeOS" located on the left side menu on the Settings page.

5. Click on the "Check for updates" button on the About ChromeOS page.

6. After the update is complete, you will be prompted to restart the computer. If the computer is multiple versions out-of-date, a second and third update may be required. You will get a message stating the Chromebook is up to date if the latest version of the OS is installed.
