To schedule your online course meetings, it is highly recommended to use CCCDZoom within your course. This will ensure only your students have access to the course, and you don't need to send out meeting invites since students will access the meeting within the Canvas course. You can set your CCCDZoom settings to your preferences and safety to make it easier. You should refer to our CCCDZoom Safe Experience for more information and recommendations.
- Using Chrome or Firefox, log into Canvas and access your course.
- Ensure that CCCZoom is loaded into the Course Menu. If not, add it to the course using Settings>Navigate
- Click on CCCDZoom within the Course Menu
- Click the Schedule a New Meeting blue button
- You'll be able to schedule each meeting based on the topic OR schedule the series for all meetings.
- Complete the form and use the date of the meeting or the first day of the first meeting
- Enter the Duration of the meeting
- If you would like to schedule all the meetings for the semester, you can click on Recurring meeting. If you meet twice a week, etc., you can schedule those simultaneously.
- Ensure Passcode is enabled and the system has generated the number. Please don't change this number.
- The video for the Host and Participant should be off. They can be enabled in the meeting. Participants cannot be forced to use Vidoe per Federal Laws.
- To avoid confusion refrain from using your Personal Meeting ID
- Refrain from changing Tracking Field. This is assigned by IT to capture your videos to Panopto.
- Click Save
You will then see your meeting summary. At the top, click Course Meetings.
- When you are ready to start the meeting, you log into the course and in CCCDZoom in the course.
- Click Start, which will start the Zoom software and the meeting session.
- Your students will access Canvas and the course, click on CCCDZoom and Join.
