TidyUp from CidiLabs is a tool for decluttering course files and documents. It is a course-level tool and should be loaded in your course already. Please know that the students do not see this tool.
Don't see TidyUp in your course?
Follow these steps to add TidyUP to your course.
- Go to your course
- Click on Settings
- Click the Navigation tab
- Locate TidyUp and do one of the following
- Click, hold, and drag from the bottom half of the stack to the top
- Click the stacked button at the left and choose Enable
- Click Save
Starting TidyUp
- Click on TidyUp in the course menu
- At the TidyUP screen, click the green Scan Course button
Depending on the course files, the scanning can take a few minutes. Please be patient.
You should know that TidyUp does NOT scan Test Banks. Verify files are not being used in a question bank before deleting.
Decluttering with TidyUp
NOTE: Before deleting any files, you should download them for backup.
- Click the Files, Folders, or Canvas Content tab
- At the right, locate and click the drop-down next to Show tab
- Chose Unused Files
- Review and either Select all of them individually using the checkbox at the left
- Click the red Delete Selected button OR click the Red Delete icon at the right (red garbage can)
